This is the area of land to the east of the Ngururrpa determination area going right up to the Western Australia/Northern Territory border. There are currently no native title claims lodged over this area, however, anthropological research is being undertaken with the purpose of lodging a claim or claims in the near future.

Land Access & Future Acts
Notwithstanding the fact that there are no registered native title claims in this area, the consent of the traditional owners is still required prior to obtaining access to the claim area. This is because the entirety of the area is covered by Use and Benefit Aboriginal Reserve 26399 (Aboriginal Reserve).
Access to Aboriginal Reserves is gained through an entry permit under the Aboriginal Affairs Planning Authority Act. An entry permit under the Aboriginal Affairs Planning Authority Act will not be granted without the consent of the traditional owners.

Access onto Aboriginal Reserves for mining and petroleum tenure purposes
Applicants or holders of mining or petroleum titles are required to seek the consent of the traditional owners of the Aboriginal Reserves to gain access onto the Aboriginal Reserves.
A Mining Entry Permit and Consent to Mine will also be required under the Aboriginal Affairs Planning Authority Act and the Mining Act or Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act in relation to accessing the Aboriginal Reserves for the purpose of mineral or petroleum activities.
There is no standard process for dealing with mining and petroleum tenure on this Aboriginal Reserve. Therefore, any applications for access will be dealt with by Central Desert on a case by case basis.
