The Gingirana #3 & #4 native title claims are extensions of the existing Gingirana (WAD 6002 of 2003) native title claim (determined by way of consent on 7 December 2017).  

Gingirana #3 claim was authorised by the native title holders at a meeting at Kumarina Roadhouse on 11 August 2020. The claim is currently being finalised for filing. The claim covers the unclaimed area to the west of Gingirana known as Cardowan Hill. The claim has been certified by the CEO of Central Desert Native Title Services LTD and will be lodged imminently.

Gingirana #4 claim was authorised at the same authorisation meeting on 11 August 2020 at Kumarina Roadhouse. The claim was filed on 6 October 2020 and is currently being re-considered for registration after failing the registration test before the National Native Title Tribunal on 20 November 2020. The claim covers the area to the south of Gingirana and is subject to an overlapping claim lodged by the Yugunga-Nya People.
