Charles Barclay was appointed Group Company Secreatry, providing governance duties across the Central Desert Group of entities, in December 2023. 

Charles comes with extensive experience working for not-for-profit and iwi organisations in New Zealand for the past 10 years. With a background in governance coupled with finance, Charles brings a unique blend of skills and insights since transitioning to Native Title in Australia.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts specialising in Political Studies. And, recognising the distinct governance challenges faced by Indigenous communities, facilitating governance structures that harmonise with cultural values has always been of particular interest.
