Central Desert is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Client Services Officer to support our Client Services (PBC) team.

The role involves overseeing administrative operations, the coordination of meetings and travel, managing financial processes, and contributing to strategic projects and grant activities.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to the administration team, ensure high-quality service delivery to Aboriginal corporations, and act as a key liaison in maintaining governance, compliance, and operational excellence across the administration function.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in leading and overseeing administrative functions, including workflow coordination, task prioritisation, and providing senior-level support to a team.

• Strong understanding of native title, and the role of Prescribed Body Corporates (PBCs), with experience ensuring compliance with governance requirements, including preparing agendas, board papers, and minutes in line with legislative obligations.

• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with goals, support continuous improvement, and respond to emerging priorities.

• Sound knowledge of financial administration, including reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.

• Demonstrated experience in grant management, including identifying and applying for funding opportunities, preparing applications, and managing compliance requirements such as KPI reporting, funds acquittal, and general grant administration.

• Experience in identifying and implementing improvements to administrative systems, processes, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as experience with databases and other office software.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service and act as a senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and adapting to changing priorities.

• Current and valid Australian manual driver’s licence.

• National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months).
