PBC Coordinator/s to Support PBC Directors
Central Desert is seeking a PBC Cordinator/s to join our Client Services Team.
This role may be filled as a full-time position or as a job share arrangement with two part-time coordinators.
The role will work closely with client PBCs to provide secretarial, compliance and administrative support.
Central Desert provides a range of services focussed on supporting corporations known as a ‘Prescribed Body Corporate’ (PBC).
A PBC is the corporate entity established to represent a native title holding group, in all matters relating to native title.
The PBC is the first point of contact for government and other parties (for example, mining companies) who wish to talk with the native title holders or undertake activities on native title land.
The role is based in our East Perth Office with regular travel to remote locations in WA.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working directly with Aboriginal people, particularly in remote communities, and with a high level of cultural competence.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound understanding of Corporate Governance principles.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clear information to clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in dealing with sensitive and challenging matters.
- The ability to work effectively and communicate with numerous small teams.
- High degree of resilience and self-motivation.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects/meetings simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Teams).
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility to meet operational requirements, including occasional after‑hours work and regular travel to regional and remote locations, including weekends and extended periods, to support meetings and projects (with TOIL provisions accrued).
- Current and unrestricted manual driver’s licence, competent driving manual vehicles.

The salary range offered is between $80,835 to $96,958 per annum plus superannuation (pro-rata for part-time) depending on skills and experience.
