Desert Accounting and Business Support (DABS) is seeking a Senior Human Resources Consultant to join the team to make a meaningful impact across our diverse client portfolio.

DABS is a not-for-profit organisation, wholly owned subsidiary of Central Desert Native Title Services and important part of the Central Desert Group of entities.

DABS provides tailored Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting service support to Aboriginal corporations and organisations.

you’ll deliver high-quality HR generalist services to our valued clients, contributing to the development of innovative HR systems, policies, and governance practices. You’ll lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, support performance and employee lifecycle initiatives, and provide expert guidance on remuneration strategies. • Strongly client-focused, delivering timely, accurate, and practical HR/ER advice across a range of areas including recruitment and selection, policy and procedures, award and EBA interpretation, pay and conditions queries, disciplinary matters and performance management processes.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or significant equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR/ER, business partnering, or consulting role providing a broad range of advice and services.

• Hands-on experience with HR systems, particularly in recruitment and performance management.

• A solid understanding of HR and ER practices, processes, and compliance requirements.

• Proven ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, awards, and employment legislation (knowledge of the Social, Communities, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award would be highly regarded)

• Strong digital skills, including Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero.

• Previous experience working in an Aboriginal or culturally diverse organisation would be highly regarded.
